The EPANET-USERS List server

List servers provide a means for subscribers to get quick answers to questions and participate in discussions relating to the list server topics. Subscription is free, and subscribers receive all the e-mail that is sent to the list and can in turn send e-mail to the list.

The EPANET-USERS list server is a forum for users of the public-domain USEPA EPANET program to share ideas and ask questions on issues related to water distribution modeling. A searchable archive of past questions and answers is available through our EPANET Q&A database.

Subscribing to EPANET-USERS

To subscribe to a list, send an email to listserv@listserv.uoguelph.ca. Do not put anything in the subject line and, in the body of the message,  include the following line (with NO other text and no brackets):

    SUBSCRIBE EPANET-USERS [first name] [last name]

For example,

    SUBSCRIBE EPANET-USERS JANE DOE

It is very important to subscribe to the list from the email account you wish to use for EPANET-USERS communications (the "reply to" email address is used by the list server). Also, if you are changing or terminating an email address, please remember to unsubscribe from that address before you close it.

Once subscribed, you will receive a confirmation email detailing the email address to send EPANET-USERS communications to, and providing other information about the list server. Please archive this email for future reference.

Unsubscribing from EPANET-USERS
To leave the list, send this message (with NO other text and no brackets) to the subscription address:

    SIGNOFF EPANET-USERS 

Other Information

There are some guidelines for posting to the EPANET-USERS list server. It is important to read these guidelines as transgressing one or more of them may result in termination of your list server subscription.

The ever-expanding searchable archive of EPANET-USERS questions and answers is an excellent resource for past EPANET-USERS dialog and for water distribution modeling information in general.

When you are temporarily away from your email account, you may find it convenient to receive EPANET-USERS communications in digest form. To do this, send the following line to listserv@listserv.uoguelph.ca (from your subscribed email account):

    SET EPANET-USERS MAIL DIGEST
