Presentations

Presentations will be approximately 20 minutes including a short question time - please reserve a couple of minutes for questions. The final timetable of presentations will be posted on the web by February 15. In order to assure a smooth transition from one presentation to the next, the presentation format has changed from previous years. All authors/presenters must read the following carefully:

Presentation files will be copied by staff to the presentation computer prior to your presentation. Presentations will be projected in 32 bit color, XGA (1024x768) format.

Please bring your presentation in electronic Microsoft PowerPoint format on a finalized memory stick. Please hand the memory stick to the conference chairman, Bill James, as soon as you have finished the registration formalities. Bill will be wearing a straw hat/boater at this time, so that you can find him more easily. Please show/tell him where your presentation falls on the program, when you hand it in.

For your presentation, please:

1. Check the conference timetable at www.computationalhydraulics.com (click on the conference link, then on the conference program link) in the week before the conference, and note your Session number.
2. Bring your presentation, in Microsoft Powerpoint, on a memory stick*.
3. Write your name and the Session number on your memory stick;
5. If you are bringing your final full paper with you, please have that on the memory stick also;
6. On arrival, give the memory stick to Bill James, who will be in the meeting room and wearing a "boater" hat for easy identification .
7. Presentations will be allotted either 15 or 20 minutes according to your particular arrangement with Bill James.
8. As your session chairman will have little time for introductions, please prepare the first slide of your presentation as an introduction to yourself, giving:
Your name, photograph, present affiliation, city and state/province/country;
Your undergraduate graduation year and university.
Your postgraduate studies (if any), year(s) of graduation and university(ies).
Short one line account of your professional life.

* If you bring your presentation on CD (strongly discouraged) please note:
(a) the CD-R must be finalized when burned - there is no guarantee that CD-RW or multi-session open CD-R formats can be read by the presentation computer.
(b) your CD may not be returned, so please don't have any other material, important to yourself, on it.
(c) write your name and session number on the CD.
(d) ensure that you bring a second copy of your presentation material on CD-R in case of media failure.

Papers

Please bring to the conference 1 hard copy + the electronic file(s) of your paper, and the signed transfer of copyright. This last is not in any way restrictive, but merely protects us from violating other publishers' prior claim. Papers are due at the conference, except in the case of abstracts accepted immediately prior to the conference. These papers are due by March 31st. Formatting instructions and the Transfer of Copyright form are available online.
