Getting Started Chapters

The User's Guide to SWMM contains three simple exercises that guide you through the process of creating a model, running the simulation and visualizing the results. They serve as a first step for those new to PCSWMM and/or SWMM modeling. We have provided updated versions of these chapters that reflect the user-interface changes in PCSWMM 2004.

The PCSWMM Getting Started videos available on this site are an efficient method for novice users to get up and running quickly with PCSWMM.

SWMM-specific questions

Questions relating to the SWMM engine should be directed to the SWMM-USERS list server. If you are not yet a member of this list, please sign up - it is free and an incredibly valuable resource. Before posting your question though, please check the searchable SWMM Q&A database for past topics.

Other Technical Support Options

After consulting the available information listed above, licensees of current software may request assistance by contacting us directly as in the table below. Questions regarding computer runs should be emailed with relevant input data files attached. Licensees are named in our licensee database at the time the license is issued or re-assigned.

CHI offers unlimited support to licensees using the latest upgrades and updates as CHI does not support out-of-date code.
